Hi Jim,
Enclosed is a picture of my nephew, Jeremiah Samuelson,
with his first bow kill. He had drawn a permit for the youth Ripley hunt. That Saturday
was the first time he had ever been bowhunting. Sunday morning bright and early
this doe came by and he made a very well placed shot at 25 yards and it did the
job, she only went 30 yards. I'm so happy to have had the chance to be sitting next
to him in that tree and have him harvest his first deer with a bow, it brought back
all the memories from my first deer. I want to thank all the volunteers and
sponsors for setting up such a great hunt for the kids and mentors. I think it was
a great success and also hope that the hunt will continue in the future.
